DAILY OBLATION
WEEK IV: Tuesday
Leader:
On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, ‘out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.”” (Jn 7:37-38)
Community:
Lord Jesus. as your kingdom dawns, we come to you, for without you we can do nothing. Give us the living water which flows from within you.
We offer you our lives. Send us into the world as you were sent by the Father. May doing God’s will be our food and drink. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, may our words and deeds show the world God’s compassionate love. Amen.

Psalm Prayer: Lord, God of strength, you gave your Son victory over death. Direct your Church’s fight against evil in the world. Clothe us with the weapons of light and unite us under the one banner of love, that we may receive our eternal reward after the battle of earthly life.

Brothers, I beg you through the mercy of God to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God, your spiritual worship. Luke 1:68-79
The Messiah and his forerunner
Blessed + be the Lord, the God of Israel; *
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior, *
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old †
that he would save us from our enemies, *
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers *
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham: *

INTERCESSIONS
My brothers, let us praise Christ, asking to serve him and to be holy and righteous in his sight all the days of our life. Let us acclaim him:
Lord, you alone are the holy one.
You desired to experience everything we experience but sin,
– have mercy on us, Lord Jesus.
You called us to love perfectly,
– make us holy, Lord Jesus.
You commissioned us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world,
– let your light shine on us, Lord Jesus.
You desired to serve, not to be served,
– help us, Lord Jesus, to give humble service to you and to our neighbors.
You are in the form of God sharing in the splendor of the Father,
– Lord Jesus, let us see the glory of your face.
THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven,

CONCLUDING PRAYER
Father of love,
giver of all good things,
in Saint Aloysius you combined remarkable innocence
with the spirit of penance.
By the help of his prayers
may we who have not followed his innocence
follow his example of penance.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever.
