DAILY OBLATION
WEEK 1: SUNDAY
Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you that through your death and resurrection, you have redeemed the world. We offer ourselves for the renewal of this world which you have created with the Father and the Spirit.
We confess that we too stand continually in need of redemption. In order to cooperate with the redemptive work you have begun among us, we dedicate ourselves to you.
We make our own your fidelity to your Father’s will. Accept this day as we spend it in prayer, in common life, and in ministry on behalf of others. Through this service may we make your name known as the source of all life. Give us the strength to serve your people. Amen.

Psalm Prayer: Let Israel rejoice in you, Lord, and acknowledge you as creator and redeemer. We put our trust in your faithfulness and proclaim the wonderful truths of salvation. May your loving kindness embrace us now and for ever.

Luke 1:68-79
The Messiah and his forerunner
Blessed + be the Lord, the God of Israel; *
he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty savior, *
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his holy prophets he promised of old †
that he would save us from our enemies, *
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers *
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham: *
to set us free from the hands of our enemies,
free to worship him without fear, *
holy and righteous in his sight
all the days of our life.
You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High; *
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,

INTERCESSIONS
Christ is the sun that never sets, the true light that shines on every man. Let us call out to him in praise:
Lord, you are our life and our salvation.
Creator of the stars, we thank you for your gift, the first rays of the dawn,
– and we commemorate your resurrection.
May your Holy Spirit teach us to do your will today,
– and may your wisdom guide us always.
Each Sunday give us the joy of gathering as your people,
– around the table of your Word and your Body.
From our hearts we thank you,
– for your countless blessings.
THE LORD’S PRAYER
(Gathering our prayer and praises into one, let us offer the prayer Christ himself taught us:)
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come,

on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
CONCLUDING PRAYER
Father,
you call your children
to walk in the light of Christ.
Free us from darkness
and keep us in the radiance of your truth.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

DISMISSAL
